How Collectible Intel Works
There are four steps, and each one produces something you can inspect rather than a black-box number. Here is what happens at each stage, and what to expect from the output.
You upload a photo of a collectible. An AI vision model identifies the item and estimates its condition. The report then attaches an estimated value range, market context, and a long-term outlook, and the item can be saved to a vault to track over time.
The four steps
- 01ScanUpload a photo or use your phone camera. Photos are resized in your browser before upload, so scans start quickly even on mobile data.
- 02IdentifyThe AI reads printed identifiers, design cues, and visible condition, returning name, category, year, manufacturer, set or series, rarity tier, estimated condition, and a confidence score.
- 03Value and analyseThe report attaches an estimated raw value, estimated values at common grades where relevant, a trend indicator, and a liquidity read.
- 04TrackSave the item to a vault with your purchase price to follow gain and loss, or add it to a watchlist for alerts.

- It is not a guaranteed sale price — estimates describe a likely range.

Privacy of your photos
Uploaded photos are stored privately and are only accessible through short-lived links generated for the signed-in owner of the scan. They are not publicly browsable.
Frequently asked questions
- How long does a scan take?
- Usually a few seconds. The report appears once identification and valuation complete.
- What kinds of collectibles are supported?
- Collectible Intel supports categories including Pokémon cards, sports cards, LEGO minifigures, coins, action figures, patches, pins, and Beanie Babies, along with many adjacent collectible types.
- Do I need an account?
- An account is needed to save scans, build vaults, and receive alerts, because those results are private to you.
- What if the photo cannot be read?
- You will be told to retake it. A brighter, straight-on shot that fills the frame resolves most failed scans.
